The approach

Meaningful conversations in motion

WALK is our own method: four movements that take a conversation from noise to choice. Not a walk with questions, but a structure with a landing point.

The working definition

When has it worked?

A WALK hike doesn't end when everybody had a good conversation. It ends when people have new language for what is going on, can see their own part in it, and take at least one concrete choice home.

Movement + focused attention + conversation between equals + silence + making it concrete = meaningful progress.

W

What is happening?

From judgement to observation

Before anyone explains or solves anything, we slow the question down. One recent example instead of an abstraction. What is fact, what is your interpretation, and what do we keep discussing without anything changing?

A concrete, shared picture of what is really going on.

A

Another perspective

From certainty to curiosity

We loosen the first story. How would the other person describe this? What would a client or a new colleague notice? When does the problem not occur, and which system is quietly rewarding the current behaviour?

More possible explanations, and sight of other people's interests.

L

Learn & let go

From pattern to freedom of choice

Which assumption are you treating as a fact? What do you do that lets the pattern survive? What is this approach costing you, and what do you want to keep, reduce, stop, or hold differently?

Insight into assumptions, your own part, and what no longer helps.

K

Key choice

From insight to visible behaviour

Insight that nobody can see is not a result. What will you do differently, what is the smallest visible step within 72 hours, who needs to be involved, and how will colleagues notice something changed?

A choice, a first step, an owner, and a moment to follow up.

Our promises

What we always deliver

  • Everyone gets meaningful speaking time.
  • Nobody is required to share personal information.
  • Questions are exploratory, never manipulative.

What it is not

For anyone who has seen too many workshops

  • Not therapy.
  • Not a meeting in disguise.
  • Not a series of clever questions without a landing point.

Safety and confidentiality

The contract up front

Voluntary

You may skip a question, or answer it at a different level. The facilitator never decides how personal you have to get.

Confidential

Lessons may leave the group. Recognisable personal stories stay inside it.

No fixing reflex

We listen to understand, not to prepare an answer. Advice and interpretation only when someone asks for them.

A clear boundary

This is facilitation of workable professional questions. Where acute psychological or medical issues appear, we refer on.

Safe walking

Technical passages are walked without a reflection task. When the path needs attention, the conversation stops.

Follow-up

A checkpoint after thirty days

Thirty days later we come back to the model and the commitments, online or in person. It is the difference between a good day out and something that actually changed.
