The Missing Brick

Facilitation close to home, or five days in Northern Italy

The Missing Brick is our facilitation practice: LEGO® Serious Play® and WALK days in Belgium. For those who want to really work on their business, we take you to the Orobie.

Walkers on the move during a WALK session

In Belgium

Three formats, depending on your schedule.

Same method, shorter format. Ideal as a lead-in to a LEGO® Serious Play® session, or as a standalone moment to sharpen one question.

90 minutes

Compact WALK

For a team that genuinely cannot free up half a day. One question, tightly held: enough to get something unstuck that has been going round in circles for months.

  • Contract, intention and the landing question
  • W in pairs
  • Solo stretch: A and L
  • New pairs: perspective and choice
  • Commitment, and the bridge to a build session

3.5 to 4 hours

Half a day

The standard format, and the one most teams start with. It also works as the perfect run-up to a Lego Serious Play workshop the same afternoon or the next morning.

  • Check-in, safety and the psychological contract
  • A quiet departure, with a landing question each
  • First climb: W in pairs, fifteen minutes each
  • Rest point: one sentence per person, no debate
  • A silent stretch, walking alone
  • Plateau: A in trios, swapping perspectives
  • A break with no task attached
  • L in new pairs
  • K on your own, then a buddy check
  • Back at base: harvest and the bridge to the bricks

9.00 to 17.00

A full day

The walk as the main programme, with room for more than one question, a proper lunch and a short build session at the end. The format teams pick when the subject is strategy rather than a single decision.

  • Morning: W and A — reality and perspectives
  • Lunch: free social time, no assignment
  • Early afternoon: L — patterns, assumptions and what gets left behind
  • Late afternoon: K — choices, buddy check and shared harvest
  • Close: a short Lego Serious Play session — personal insights and three team principles

Where we walk

Vlaamse Ardennen

East Flanders

Hills, hollow roads and beech woods within an hour of Brussels, Ghent and Antwerp. Steep enough to change the conversation, close enough to be back for dinner.

A checkpoint after thirty days

Thirty days later we come back to the model and the commitments, online or in person. It is the difference between a good day out and something that actually changed.
