Orobie Basecamp

For teams

Let your team decide on what it can no longer avoid

Three to five days in the Orobie Alps. We facilitate with the WALK method and LEGO® Serious Play®, you do the work that keeps getting stuck in the meeting room.

Who this works for

Not for a teambuilding with a quiz. For a team with a real question.

  • A leadership team that needs to make a hard call.
  • A team that needs to realign after a reorganisation or fast growth.
  • Managers who want to work on collaboration instead of talking about it.
  • An organisation that wants strategy to land in behaviour.

Two methods

Outside, insight emerges. Inside, it becomes decidable.

Lego Serious Play

Everyone builds, so everyone speaks. What people avoid saying in a meeting they will happily put on the table in bricks — and once it stands there, it can be discussed without anyone having to defend themselves.

The WALK method

Our own method, done on foot. Walking side by side removes the hierarchy of a table, makes eye contact optional, slows the pace, and gives the landscape a chance to create distance and perspective.

Why the two together

Outside, people gather raw experience, perspective and personal insight. Back at basecamp, the bricks make that insight visible, systemic and decidable. One without the other leaves you with either a beautiful model or a nice hike.

Along the way

The four movements

W

What is happening?

From judgement to observation

Before anyone explains or solves anything, we slow the question down. One recent example instead of an abstraction. What is fact, what is your interpretation, and what do we keep discussing without anything changing?

A concrete, shared picture of what is really going on.

A

Another perspective

From certainty to curiosity

We loosen the first story. How would the other person describe this? What would a client or a new colleague notice? When does the problem not occur — and which system is quietly rewarding the current behaviour?

More possible explanations, and sight of other people's interests.

L

Learn & let go

From pattern to freedom of choice

Which assumption are you treating as a fact? What do you do that lets the pattern survive? What is this approach costing you — and what do you want to keep, reduce, stop, or hold differently?

Insight into assumptions, your own part, and what no longer helps.

K

Key choice

From insight to visible behaviour

Insight that nobody can see is not a result. What will you do differently, what is the smallest visible step within 72 hours, who needs to be involved, and how will colleagues notice something changed?

A choice, a first step, an owner, and a moment to follow up.

The rhythm

Three to five days, depending on your time.

One base, no packing and unpacking. The valleys come to you.

Day 1

Arrive and let go

  • Arrival in Spiazzi
  • Short walk to the ridge
  • Aperitivo
  • Dinner and first question

Day 2

The long day

  • Early breakfast
  • Full-day walk
  • Lunch at a rifugio
  • Thinking time alone
  • Evening session with the group

Days 3–4

Only on the five-day edition

  • A second long walk, higher up
  • A slow day: village, thermal water, reading
  • One-to-one walk with your host
  • Evening session with the group

Final day

The plan

  • Breakfast
  • Morning walk
  • Your next steps on paper
  • Long lunch
  • Goodbye

What you'll take home

A new language

The team finally names what's really going on, without anyone having to defend themselves.

A visible system

With LEGO® Serious Play®, your reality is on the table: roles, tensions and dependencies.

Decisions with an owner

Every choice gets a name and a date. No faceless action list.

A checkpoint

Thirty days later, we revisit the model and the commitments.

Our promises

What we guarantee.

  • Everyone gets meaningful speaking time.
  • Nobody is required to share personal information.
  • Questions are exploratory, never manipulative.
  • Every relevant insight gets a chance to land in a choice or a next question.

Start with a thirty-minute conversation.

Tell us your question, the size of the team and how many days you can free up.
