Alpeggio above Spiazzi

An hour's climb through pasture brings you to a working alpeggio. The animals are usually out by the time you arrive and the cheese room is already busy.
Buy a piece of whatever is ready, sit on the wall, and let the morning run long. On the way down there is a stone trough of spring water that has stopped every child who has ever passed it.
Because it is a working farm, not a demonstration — and everyone comes down quieter than they went up.
Basecamp tip
Go before ten. Take a cool bag and small notes — nobody up there has change for fifty euros.
If it is wet, the cheese is also sold at the shop in Gromo.
